Cautionary Note

There is a very important rule to observe when exploring the waters of the Red Sea: do not touch or play with any species that remains passive and does not attempt to flee when you reach out to touch it.

Any mobile marine animal possessing this characteristic has some kind of natural defense whether it is poison, mild or deadly, unusual color or form, or an unpleasant taste.

Some of the animals that should be avoided are sea urchins, blowfish, fire coral, feathery lionfish, moray eels, turkeyfish, stonefish, triggerfish, and sharks.
